Why I started Lit by Light
Lit by Light was born from a deeply personal journey of seeking higher energy, spiritual growth, and authentic transformation. For years, I felt called to shift my focus from the noise of daily distractions toward the quiet, powerful work of intrinsic energy restoration and self-unity. Along this path, I learned to interpret what I call the "language of light"—the divine energy that speaks through guidance, imagination, thoughts, energetic shifts, and soulful synchronicity. This journey ultimately led me to a transformative spiritual retreat, a turning point that inspired not only the creation of this brand but also the birth of a new version of myself: Kali Denise.
A Story of Spiritual Rebirth
In 2023, I experienced a profound awakening—a spiritual rebirth that allowed me to step into my true essence. I knew, deep in my spirit, that I was a new creation: "old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). Retreating from old patterns and external expectations wasn’t easy, but it brought me closer to a life rooted in truth, love, and light. This transformation called me to live more authentically and with greater purpose, fully aligned with divine energy and the possibilities it holds.
Why I Chose a Pen Name
After over two years of retreat, reflection, and renewal, I embraced the name Kali Denise to honor my spiritual awakening and commitment to intentional living. This pen name symbolizes the higher self or spirit that now guides my life and creativity. Though my past memories remain, my perspective has been forever transformed. I view life—and every experience—through the lens of light, limitless potential, and divine connection.
My work, my art, and my mission are now inspired by this higher state of being. Lit by Light exists to share that inspiration with others—through designs that encourage self-reflection, raise vibrations, and help you step into your own radiant light.
